Bishopstown Community School Adult Education. Final enrolments for the adult education programme in Bishopstown Community School are currently been taken for evening classes beginning the week of Monday 23rd September. Currently, there are vacancies on Monday nights in ballroom dancing, choir and computers.Thursday evening classes in painting and drawing, spanish and ukulele have a few vacancies also. For those of you who prefer an afternoon class there are a couple of spots available in computer skills and lunchtime yoga and the exciting new course on needle felting.
Following the success of last years QQI courses, we have decided to increase the number of courses on offer and are now offering Special Needs Assistant, Care of the Older Person and Book keeping.
One Day Only
For those with less spare time, we have a number of short courses – one evening only including courses on face painting (bring the kids), essential oils  (with specific focus including exam students) and  Christmas cake art.
The adult education programme is delighted to offer Teastas Eorpach Gaeilge again as part of the programme this year. This course is ideal for those thinking of a career in education as it meets the conditions laid down by the department of Education and Skills for entry into primary teaching. This course is ideal also for ‘naíonra’ staff who wish to develop their Irish language skills and acquire an internationally accepted qualification.
